If you are considering living in the first Boomers Collaborative community, this is where to begin.

Boomers Collaborative is developing a resident-owned, limited-equity housing cooperative for adults age 55 and older in a walkable, mixed-use setting. Residents may choose individual or shared occupancy while retaining their own membership, vote, privacy, and independence.

You do not have to make a housing commitment to begin learning about the community. The first steps are to ask questions, share feedback, and decide whether this housing choice may be right for you.

From Interest to Provisional Membership

When you are ready to move beyond general interest, you may submit a nonbinding Letter of Intent, pay a one-time $100 refundable Provisional Membership Fee, and begin the $10 monthly nonrefundable administrative fee required for active Provisional Membership.

As a Provisional Member, you can review plans, ask questions, help shape the community, and participate as the project moves through site selection and site-specific development. Once the site, housing choices, estimated costs, and requirements are known, you can decide whether you want to continue toward cooperative membership.

Provisional Membership does not reserve a unit or guarantee eligibility, financing, pricing, timing, or occupancy. Formal cooperative membership comes later, after you complete the cooperative share purchase and sign the required occupancy documents.

To update the payment method for your recurring administrative fee, click Manage Payments and Donations in our website footer and sign in. In your account menu, select Subscriptions, choose your monthly administrative fee subscription, and select Payment Method under Manage Subscription.
